SCFHS and King Khalid Foundation Sign Cooperation Agreement on Protection Against Violence

2026-02-18

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) signed a joint cooperation agreement with the King Khalid Foundation aimed at strengthening the capabilities of healthcare practitioners and volunteers in protection against violence. The agreement was signed at the Commission’s headquarters in Riyadh. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Commission by its Secretary-General, Prof. Aws bin Ibrahim Alshamsan, while the King Khalid Foundation was represented by Her Highness Princess Nouf bint Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Saud in her capacity as the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer. The agreement aims to design joint training programs for healthcare practitioners and volunteers on concepts related to protection against violence, develop educational modules and workshops aligned with national standards, and exchange expertise in the design and development of training content while benefiting from local and international best practices. Areas of cooperation also include supporting research and studies related to protecting healthcare practitioners from violence and abuse, collecting and analyzing data on incidents, interventions, and program effectiveness, as well as conducting comparative studies on best practices. The agreement further includes implementing awareness campaigns on protection against violence, empowering healthcare practitioners and volunteers to participate in developing related policies and procedures, and establishing effective channels for knowledge exchange among healthcare teams and partner institutions. This agreement comes as part of the Commission’s efforts to enhance the quality of professional practice, improve the efficiency of national healthcare workforce capabilities, and support the sustainability of health and social impact in alignment with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program. It also reflects the role of the King Khalid Foundation in supporting developmental and community initiatives and strengthening social protection for the most vulnerable groups.
