The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) has announced that the Saudi Board Final Written Examination will now be offered twice a year in a number of specialties, as part of the first phase of its plan to expand opportunities to take final examinations.
SCFHS clarified that the first phase is limited to the Final Written Examination and does not include the Final Clinical Examination. This phase covers 14 specialties, including five medical specialties: Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Family Medicine.
It also includes nine allied health specialties: Midwifery Nursing, Clinical Pharmacy, Periodontics, Neonatal Critical Care Nursing, Adult Critical Care Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Cardiac Care Nursing, Adult Oncology Nursing, and Home Healthcare Nursing.
SCFHS stated that extending this measure to other specialties will be considered based on needs and operational readiness. Any subsequent updates will be announced through its official channels.
