Under the chairmanship of His Excellency Minister of Health Fahad Bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties decided to appoint Dr. Aws bin Ibrahim Al-Shamsan a Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The Minister of Health wished him success and expressed his appreciation to Dr. Ayman Abdu for his efforts and achievements during his tenure at the General Secretariat of the commission from 2016 to 2022.
Al-Shamsan, who is a Professor of Pharmaceuticals and Nano medicine, held several leadership positions: the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at King Saud University, member of the Board of Trustees of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, the Chairman of the Future Health Team of the G20 2020 Community Outreach Group, Dean of the King Abdullah Institute of Nanotechnology , director of the Center of Excellence in Nanomedicine at King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology, and member of the Advisory Council of the Saudi Commission of Standards, Metrology and Quality.
