The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties participated in the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) Conference and its accompanying exhibition, which was held in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, from May 25 to 28, 2025. This participation forms part of the SCFHS’s ongoing efforts to advance health education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to share its experience with the global health education community.
The Commission’s delegation was headed by Dr. Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Hussein, Assistant Secretary-General for Institutional Affairs, who stated that the SCFHS’s participation aligns with its strategic objectives to exchange expertise with leading international institutions in the fields of health education and training.
The delegation also took part in a number of meetings and panel discussions aimed at presenting the Saudi Board experience and highlighting its impact on developing national healthcare professionals across various specialties. In addition, the Commission showcased its approach to attracting outstanding international candidates to train within the Saudi Board programs.
Furthermore, the participation highlighted the Commission’s leading role in integrating the healthcare system with health education and training frameworks for various categories of healthcare practitioners in the Kingdom. This integration has demonstrated a positive impact on the Saudi experience and contributes to achieving the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and Human Capability Development Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
