Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud — may Allah protect him — the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties today celebrated the graduation of 12,591 male and female trainees from the Saudi Board programs and Health Academy programs for the year 2025. The ceremony was held at Al-Awwal Park Stadium at King Saud University.

In his address, His Excellency the Minister of Health and SCFHS’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Fahad bin Abdulrahman AlJalajel, stated that the healthcare sector, under the guidance of the wise leadership — may Allah protect them — is witnessing an exceptional healthcare transformation. This transformation has drawn significant international attention and positioned the Kingdom as a hub for addressing global health challenges. He emphasized that this progress reflects the high priority given to the healthcare sector in a nation where “human health comes first.”

His Excellency affirmed that the growth witnessed in the Saudi Board and Health Academy programs is one of the tangible outcomes of the healthcare transformation. He noted that today’s celebration marks the graduation of more than 12,500 trainees across various health specialties for the year 2025. He described the graduates as a distinguished cohort driven by passion for knowledge, compassion, and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of healthcare services and increasing life expectancy, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

He also praised the international dimension achieved by the Saudi Board, noting that the number of international graduates from its programs has exceeded 3,500 male and female graduates across various health specialties since the Board’s inception. He expressed pride in their choice of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as their preferred training destination.

Addressing the graduates from inside and outside the Kingdom, His Excellency stated:
“Today, you carry not only a graduation certificate, but also a message of humanity and hope for every beneficiary. You carry the trust of a nation that relies on you to safeguard human health and shape a future of higher quality of life. We are proud of you, we celebrate your achievements, and we trust that what lies ahead through your hands will be brighter and more hopeful.”
He also extended his gratitude to the families of the graduates for their continuous support throughout the training journey.

For his part, Dr. Aws bin Ibrahim Al-Shamsan, Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, expressed his appreciation for the continued support and empowerment provided by the wise leadership to the healthcare system and health practitioners. He noted that this support strengthens the Kingdom’s position as a leading destination for health education and training, marking a milestone in the healthcare transformation journey. This progress has directly contributed to facilitating access to healthcare services and improving their quality and efficiency, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

He highlighted the advancement of the Saudi Board programs, which produced 5,691 graduates this year, delivering the highest levels of qualification to prepare highly competent healthcare professionals and serving as a globally recognized professional model. He also emphasized the role of the Health Academy in qualifying national cadres through diverse programs that meet the needs of the healthcare system and service providers. These efforts have generated professional opportunities that support the transformation of the healthcare sector, with 6,900 graduates completing eight specialized qualification programs.

The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials, graduates, and their families. The graduates took the professional oath during the event. At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Health honored the entities participating in sponsoring the event, followed by commemorative photographs.
